  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Hi everybody.
Just discovered this amazing forum and joined immediately. Glad to see fellow Canadian metal hobbyists around. I am in Ottawa, Have hobby shop with working South Bend heavy 10L lathe, 8 inch desktop Atlas lathe and Taiwanese clone of King USA universal mill. In restoration process Hendey 12x4 lathe from 1918. I equipped lathe with 2HP DC motor from treadmill and used it for several years, though it is quite "unhinged". Trying to make it tight again.
Last week I bought and brought home original BP round ram mill with two heads - M head and slotting head. I will have busy summer :)

Open for carpooling to Cardon tools. LOL

Welcome aboard, forum never leaves the station and new members behind. Enjoy your visits.

Welcome from Greely, enjoy the group lots of knowledge here.
I am glad Cardon is open on Sunday's I go there every few months and spend an afternoon looking around piling up stuff to bring home:).

Welcome from Prince Edward County, just a short three hour drive south west from you. :-) Car pool to Cardon's wouldn't work, but looks like a cool place to maybe meet up for a visit. :)
