  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

I thought this was neat

Excellent!

The good car restorers/fabricators are really impressive.

At one point I was having an old car restored, the body was really decent but they found this one obscure piece of sheet metal under the hood with several bends and funny angles that was badly rusted. They just recreated that piece perfectly.

I have a long throw air hammer sitting on the workbench waiting to get to that project.....So that I can do another project......

I like his channel. Pretty clever guy.
He is, and he is very free with sharing how he makes his tools and sells kits if following along or having a good supply of stock on hand isn't in the cards. He also outs on metal shaping courses every so often. I am seriously considering signing up for one..... And maybe another next year.... Will have to see what the new job allows and some family issues that are taking up almost all of the available free time lately allows. Unfortunately it will be the end of an era when the later resolves itself.
