Mostly aimed at educational market, cost is no object. Public purse, and in UK everything is more expensive to start with.

Dang impressive I think. Not likely a very useful lathe but impressive build out of simple materials all the same.

multiplanetary shipping is ok and all, but the cool boys are offering intergalactic. If you need to ask the shipping rate, you can't afford it.

I have found that Asian Manufacturers (even if they have a British Sales office) refer to machines as ‘Hobby’ . . . based on the small size of the machining window.
Terminology varies across different cultures.
