Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Merry x-mas to all members and just passing along a thought...I contacted and heard back from Chicken last night, He was bedded down somewhere in Wi, so a long ways from home. Thinking of that this morn with my first coffee and wondered what he was doing at that particular moment...best case scenario he is just out thumping tires & checking chains, boomers or straps....or he could be crawling under that beast with a propane torch to thaw a break drum or 10 out that froze up during the night.
A tip of the hat or nod in recognition to what those boys & girls go thru to keep our world turning would be nice during this season.

Yes, there are a lot of people that work on days/nites that are holidays for most others, they keep our world of gas, water, sewer, power, roadways and on going. All the very best to them, and may they get some time with their important people too!

Merry Christmas folks! At my parents’ for two nights, south side of Rice Lake. Looking forward to some quality time in the shop before going back to work.
Oh, forgot the weather report. We had what somebody said was the first white Christmas in 10 years, about 4” a couple of days ago and 2 - 3” overnight. That’s all we need, looking forward to spring…..
