The Hurcus is an Australian copy of the 9" South Bend. I see a carriage stop in chip pan.... Perhaps there's more in the tool box. Looks to be in pretty good shape.

I've seen one of these in person and they are a very solid machine. Definitely a South Bend 9 clone not a Myford clone.

Ad was originally posted at $1700, then bumped up to $2500, now it’s at $2250. So it didn’t sell at $1700, maybe $2250 will do the trick? Sigh.

Definitely not a Myford clone. It’s an Australian made 9”lathe built under license from Southbend. Same arrangement as the British Boxford. The Hercus is a closer copy to the Southbend though. Agreed, good price especially with the gear box.
