  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Hello All,

Long time lurker of the forum who's finally gotten around to registering!

I live in Chatham but was essential raised on my grandparents farm just northwest of town. I'm a dual ticket instrumentation & electrical technician by trade and spent my career split between the natural gas and industrial gas industries.

I've spent most of my hobby time in the last several years renovating and working on motorcycles. I'm looking to pick up a small lathe & mill in the near future and possibly look at a Linuxcnc controls retrofit of an old Fanuc Robodrill a friend has collecting dust in his warehouse.

Looking forward to be a part of this incredible body of knowledge!
 
Welcome from the other side of Chatham! I'm a farmer on the north shore of Lake Erie south of Chatham. You make 3 of us in the immediate area now.

I have access some Fanuc manuals for a robot on our production line, let me know if you need anything from them
 
Welcome aboard to the forum from Burlington. I got a lot of help here when I was deciding what mill to get (3 years ago).
