Has anyone done a CNC conversion on a King KC-15 mill?

Ball screws? What CNC control system? Limit switches? Normally Open or Closed? Variable speed spindle? Encoder on Spindle for Power tapping?

I'd likely go ball screws and use UCCNC again as I'm familiar with it.
NC switches, VS spindle, Don't think I'd go power tapping.

Oh so it's not already a CNC mill. I misunderstood. But don't you already have a mill? Why not CNC that one?

I'd rather keep it manual and have a CNC mill as well

Thanks John, I suspect they are basically the same machine.

Most important thing he did was get rid of the plastic gears inside the head. Those cause a lot of people grief.

Seller is going to have to seriously come down from their $1500 asking price as I can buy a new mill for $900.
