  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

The description says"no inspection", that make me wonder about the actual condition.

I know it says worn out, just makes me wonder how actually worn out is it with no inspection allowed.

I guess it will be a "pay your money and take your chances". If cheap enough it might be worth the gamble for someone.

I wouldn't read too much into the lack of inspection. It may be in storage or at a location that isn't prepared to accept visitors. Often, entities like this are very concerned about liability in case a visitor gets hurt and therefore severely limit who is permitted on site.

It is a 1955 machine, used in a school, so it would be amazing if it _doesn't_ have problems! It might be decent 'raw material' if someone wanted to do a full rebuild. (Not me...seriously...must resist...)

"no inspection' or 'as is where is' type of disclaimers is normal for Govdeals from what I've seen. The seller wants a no-BS sale with zero chance of 'you sold me junk' feedback.
