Harig? relief grinding question

Super interesting equipment video. Anyway ~34:00 he shows a cam follower that guides the grinding relief geometry. This is similar principle to what I was trying to accomplish, but obviously mine is much more limited with a PITA fixed ramp profile. See how he 'adjusts' those 2 screws & it seem to be further altering the plane of the cam plate itself? Does anyone have any familiarity or some kind of sketch of what's going on? It looks like the 2 screws enter the plate perpendicular. So the plate is not just attached to spindle shaft, but on some kind of pivot?

Good sleuthing @gerritv Were you looking into this aspect for your own purposes beforehand or just assumed it probably was patented & so searched via that route? No shortage of smart people back in the day.
 
First I wanted to buy a Hybco when I still had my 1910's vintage 600+lb Cincinnati Universal Tool & Cutter grinder. So I went looking for info, usually starting with patents.
Then I started to doodle one up in Inventor or Fusion.

If or when I would build one today I think I would drive the adjusting dials with steppers. The advantage of the Hybco is that you don't need special collets, and you don't need a bunch of cam plates.
