About a week ago I was looking for a pair 6" green silicon carbide grinding wheels (fine and coarse grits).
I found several silicon carbide wheels to choose from but few of the better quality green silicon carbide.
I stumbled onto Harfington (www.harfington.com) which appears to be a similar industrial supplier to McMaster-Carr.

Just go give Harfington a try and you can skip the next part of the story:

Harfington had many grits available but Amazon only had grit 120.
I ordered a 46 grit from Harfington for US$20.32 + 2.64 tax (free shipping) for a total cost of 22.96US$ or 32.80C$
Next, I returned to the Amazon site to order a 120 grit (listed at $27.69). It was already in my cart (I expected free Prime shipping) but at checkout, they had an extra 5.59 shipping charge since it was a special international order. Strange, but there was no tax. So the Amazon wheel would be $33.23 total.
That ticked me off a bit - so I went back to the Harfington site with plans to get the 120 grit from them (the different grits had different prices and the 120 was 60 cents cheaper). But then they wanted an additional US$4 for shipping, which was unlike the first order from 5 minutes earlier. I decided to try Harfington with only the 46 grit and then see if Canada Customs or UPS would bump-up the bottom line.

Then I ordered the Amazon wheel. It is to arrive in a week or so.
The Farfington wheel arrived today via Can Post and no extra charges. :-)
(Both wheels are from the same manufacturer - Queen Mark Abrasives Mfg Co Ltd and have the BEST logo)
