Nice old saw. Wish this was a few months from now, as I'd LOVE to have an old saw like this. Just no room, and no time to go get it. Somebody go rescue this gem.

Seriously though I had considered such madness in my younger day

Strapped a router to one and used it like a vertical mill, also being able to swivel also opened aome possibilities.
The radial arm saws have two axises that could be motorized and add a sliding motorized table and well...
The way i used it was holding a block of wood in a vise and just manually doing in and out, occasionally adjusting z. And sometimes swivel
