Frackin Time Change

Ah, the time of year where we cut off the bottom of the blanket and sew it back on the top to make a longer blanket.
Makes one wonder what they were smoking when they came up with this great idea....... Was thinking I might want some, but decided that it is probably a little bit strong for my liking.....

Personally, I hate the whole idea. Nothing changes but everything changes. Make no sense to me at all and never did.

Ontario has already agreed to ditch it but only if Quebec and New York go first. (or some such silly BS).

I got up at 05:00 by cell phone. No time changing BS, it just does it. I hardly noticed that all the clocks were (still) wrong.

My cat sure did miss the memo, 430am.....couldnt figure out why it woke up so early...dam time change

Who the eff is getting up at 5 or 6 or 7am on a Sunday?

I rolled out of bed at 10:30 new time, 11:30 old time...it was great!

For the record though, if we adapt only one time, it better be daylight savings...light in the evening is WAY better than early in the morning.

heck 7am would be sleeping in for me!

the odd sunday i might make it until 8 if i have nothing going on and i stayed up until midnight on saturday, but thats a rare occurance!

i bet most of the guys on here are up by 6-630 every day without an alarm

Pre-retirement, I got up at 5 and went to bed at 10. SWMBO is a late-night person, she retired before me so for the last few years she’s been up at 9 or 10 and off to bed about midnight. So now that I don’t have to get up at 5 I’ve adjusted to her schedule.

Some parts of BC also ignore the time change so it's not even consistent in one province. I get up between 5 and 6 every morning whether I have something to do or not. If I have an active project I sometimes get up between 4 and 5 so I can get started. I probably should have been a dairy farmer but I suppose for that job getting up at 05:00 is probably sleeping in.

I would be ok if daylight savings time just went away. It has not really meant much since they invented the light bulb. The further north you go the less reason there is to shift the time. I think we should eliminate just so that I don't have to change the time in the truck and on the kitchen stove.
