  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. FOR SALE (machinist tools), $2000, Warner, AB

For sale machinist tools, 6 - 12 inch micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, inside and depth mics reamers, counterbores. files to many tools to list comes in 3 Kennedy machinist tool boxes. asking $2000.00 for all.

Problem here is that the pictures are maybe of 20% of what is on sale and 80% is a total mystery.

3 Kennedy boxes alone could be worth good money.

I always wonder why pp don't want to break things apart a bit - I mean who needs as one purchase so many dial indicators? I would not mind small lot but not mega lot.

Its all good if the price reflects the bulk sale. Say everything there would fetch $2000 if parcelled out. Take all the time it would take to photograph and list everything + the time to deal with 50 people wanting to come by, times some reasonable hourly rate and deduct from 2000. I'd guess you'd be left with $400 - 500.

I've done it numerous time to build my shop, keep what I want and sell the duplicates ..... but imo its only worth it if you pay 1/4-1/3 of what stuff sells for individually.

Deals priced like that used to be norm, roll around box full for $500, now they're rare .... everyone thinks they're going to retire off of gramps old tools.

Yup he's down $500 from where he started. I don't know it might be a deal, but he wasn't too interested on selling individual pieces so I never did go and look.

Anyone else notice that the original posting shows the new reduced price! I guess the link updates itself!
