  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. I guess this would apply for members that live in New England.
40 years ago my business partner and I started a company in Massachusetts (Duco Machine Inc)
we had a product and did ok, after a few years I gave my share to my brother...he married his daughter and eventually moved on.
the shop closed maybe 15 years ago ,the owner died and the place has sat closed up collecting dust,
well my brother was in the state this week and he decided to open er up,
there's a ton of stuff, I mean piles of it, three milling machines 2 or 3 lathes surface grinder drill presses fixturing stock, bench grinders bunches of measuring equipment, end mills taps drills specialty tooling too much to list, its a 40'X 25' packed wall to wall, I'm sure the family would let it go
at prices cheap because they know it will just be scrapyard material in 5 or 10 years, so if in New England ask could be some deals.
here's some pretty bad pics ,tomorrow my brother is going to send me some more and better pics and Ill post em ,A true barn find final note most of these machines were new some used and not abused.... all our products were aluminum.
