Electric mag chuck controller?

The surface grinder I bought came with electro magnetic chuck But no controller instead it came with a bridge rectifier. Which works for now but makes getting parts off without sliding near impossible. I'm thinking of ordering a AliExpress controller

AliExpress controller 100$

Does anyone have any experience with these cheap controllers or maybe any tricks to demag chuck?

Couldn't you put a switched power supply to the thing ? No power, no magnetty bits.
I like my electric mag chuck but if the power goes out crap starts in a hurry and lots of stuff can go sideways. Not always an issue but last month we averaged one outage every second day. Not a real confidence builder when you really want to grind something.

Sorta it keeps a good amount of magnetism till you remove the part. But if power did go off in middle of grind it could throw your part if it's small or taking heavy cuts.

The mag chuck controller has demagnetization timer on it to release the part
