Just got a nice set of drill gauges off Amazon:
$23 for fractional, letter, and number gauges. Decent finish, heavy 16ga steel, deep engraving. I checked against a couple of sets of number and letters drills I have, and these gauges seem to be accurate. A #48 bit won't push through the #49 hole. Made in India. The ratty-looking bits are paper towel fluff, the gauges were coated in rust preventer and needed to be cleaned.
