This was thrown in with a number of other items which followed me home many years ago.
Do you know what machine this is from or what accessory it may be? It looks to be quite well made and there is a small internal taper in the output end of the drive shaft which some other tool fits into and is locked in place by the cap screw. I am thinking that it is metric also.
