It wouldn't matter to me. I think crooks are just as likely to ask ridiculous prices (low or high) as honest guys.

But that's why I asked. It's simply not obvious to me why a high price makes it obviously legit.

Not saying it is or it isn't. Just not sinking into my thick head why a high price is obviously honest.
