If I were to go to Windsor soon I'd definitely flip this... more demand in Toronto.

I dont think it is a capacitor it is the contactor. I happen to have the right spare too

I was thinking contactor too , As far as I know , there is no " reverse capacitor " as stated by the seller in his ad.

correct... there is a start capacitor to kick the motor into running and a run capacitor.

two interlocked motor direction contactors control the motor direction by reversing one set of motor leads.

Not something I'm easily going to forget ............ on the up side , I have a stash of spare parts ,contactors , a motor , fwd / rev switches . I did hang my head in shame over this .

That is slightly different in that it is smaller length and is 110. Alos mine just cut out completely. I have mine moved now to a serviceable area but have not started to look yet.

Amazon has the correct capacitors to fix yours , if that's what you determine to be the culpret.

It could be the smell of the oil , I think in China , they brew their own cosmoline and possibly various other lubricants out of rotting fish heads . Every Chinese machine has this "aroma"

That would present a real dilemma. I don't have a towing rig of sufficient size to make a multiple lathe pick-up happen...
