Cool mist system

this is my first post and I am trying to figure things out
i purchased a cool mist system (cheap one) and was unhappy with how it worked and how much air it needed to work at all so I built it my way on the cheap with what I had on hand.
fabricobled an enclosure and installed 2 pressure regulators and gauges along with 2 solenoid valves robbed from a fridge and a dishwasher. One valve and regulator controls air pressure to blow away chips and the second valve and regulator controls air pressure into the pop bottle full of kool mist 77. 3 to5 psi will make the coolant flow nicely and I control the amount with a needle valve.
the pop bottle has 3 holes in the cap, air psi in, coolant out and a pin hole to bleed off pressure quickly when coolant valve is deactivated. 2395804B-45C0-4FBC-8AE7-DC2C475627A1.jpeg

Nicely done on the coolant mist system.
Welcome @Lazair to the Forum from western GTA

Here is my version of a mist/air spray unit.
I first got this $18 Amazon POC.

That thing was a total waste of time and $.

Then i tried Amazon again and bought this for $40:

It is not ‘industrial strength’ like yours, but it works as intended.
It sucks up the liquid (venturi), so no pump or pressuring needed. The flow rates (for both the air and liquid) are controllable. Fine tuning the liquid flow is a bit of trial and error but it is fairly easy to set it where you want it.
In the picture below - I can switch coolant liquids or go back to using the coolant in a hand held sprayer. I like to use air only with carbide tools and shutting off all liquid is simple.

The control unit is attached to the arm of a magnetic base.

I can relocate it on the mill or move it to the metal band saw.

Just a big mess if you ask me.

I'm happy with a drip bottle.

Not a squirt bottle, a drip bottle. Bought the wife some high priced olive oil, and swiped the bottle when it was empty. She was amazed at how thoughtful I was. Little did she know.....

Well we agreed to disagree.
It was worth the effort just for the adjustable air nozzle. The mist lubricant is just a bonus.

‘Susquatch’ and ‘high priced olive oil’ do not belong in the same sentence. Glad you explained why.
