This is a Chunk of mystery metal Could be Stainless or Chrome I did the file test and file barely scratched it so, I tried using my little lathe using carbide insert cutters, can start cutting but barely. my machines are not up to the challenge, maybe yours are. Or you want it for a paperweight...
