Calgary Meetup Feb 15

I am coming to Calgary next week for 2 weeks for work so I was inquiring with @djberta as to if he was planning anything the Feb 15 weekend, as it turns out he has commitments, but kindly offered to help set up a meetup somewhere if there is any interest. So I want to put it out there if was any others interested in a meetup that weekend in the Calgary area. I have a car and gps so flexible where I can go.

I am on call for work on 14/Fri/2025. If I don’t get called in, I have the weekend off. I will know either late Thursday or early Friday am. I’ll let you know either way.

Looking a the weather, it is supposed to be fairly cold. I can offer the heated area of my shop in the back as a meeting point for 15/Feb. Let’s say starting at 10:00h until 14:30h - ish ( I am flexible).

Would that work?
 
I’m in talks with the wife. I might be able to push back leaving for Edmonton until noon. So I’m a tentative maybe.

Selfishly speaking for myself, pretty hard to turn down an offer like that. Might better allow bringing things, informal show & tell style. And of course even if arriving with just coffee mug, the background scenery is pretty darn interesting LOL. But I'll go with the flow & subject to @RobinHood schedule
 
Robin Hoods place is excellent. If it should happen that he is called to work I would offer my shop in Airdrie as a "PLAN B" . I have one stall where I park my car. I can put the car out and set up a big table for show and tell. The scenery would no be nearly as pretty, but hey it's a "PLAN B".

That would be great if it works out, thank you for the offer and thanks to Don for the plan B offer.
I would be happy to bring something (donuts/muffins) or something else to make us a little fatter.
A real nice day here today reminded me of my Regina days nice and sunny.
 
UPDATE: they did not / do not need me at work this weekend.

I can host the meeting tomorrow, 15/Feb, in the Calgary area. 10:00h to 14:30h (ish).

Edit: now I have to go clean the shop…
