C-Clamp Mod.

I got sick and tired having the tail of the 6" c-clamp sticking me in the guts. I cut the screw in half.

I know I've seen c-clamps with half screws somewhere, but I don't have any. I think I'll shorten up a couple more.

Nice simple fix. Always a great feeling when you can modify a tool to work better for your needs.

A thought:

Why not remove the tee handle altogether and machine a hex end, same size as the one on the vise in the photo?

I have modified different tools to suit my needs, whatever works.

Tool modification is a normal occupation. When I pulled wrenches on aircraft we had a bin of updated PA (cheap)tools.

I'm a little too lazy to do that, but also, I would need a wrench....just another tool to get lost in the jumble.
