This is actually a good deal looking at whats on offer. For about $5k to $6k total you could build a pretty nice machine that is brand new.

I’m not sure - this mill from busy bee is 30” deep - is that similar to this frame above? For a few hundred more you get a working mill at $3300

Does this have ball screws? Seems pointless to buy something that needs a lot of work that isn't already somewhat CNC ready.

If you already have a mill and lathe to make parts. Adding CNC capability is not difficult at all. After doing a couple of mills and a lathe it's well worth the effort. My only advice is splurge for Servos they are just so much better than steppers.
