Looks like a 3/8"or maybe 1/2" steel plate on top. He's also got another undamaged one for the same price too. Great deal, on nice made in Canada toolboxes.
Yep. There's a part of me that still really wants to buy both....But I have no room for either, I just really like these old beach boxes lol. I should be able to get rid of another box shortly as I continue my reorganization and consolidation of my old work tools, and home tools. Looking forward to getting that couple square inches of floorspace back.
