Auction Mitutoyo surface plate and dabblers height gauge

As promised now that I got more or less all my auction junk put away.

This is my B grade surface plates temporary home for now till I finish building the shop. Not ideal but I don't plan on doing any surface grinding next few months so should be ok covered up here for now.

The surface plate only has one stain and no chips or dings so I'm pretty happy for the 240$ spent on it.

Not to clog up the post with too many pictures I left some as attachments but @Dabbler 's height gauge is pretty hefty and looks in good shape. Was last certified in 2002 so has been around.

I also got these two pressure tanks for 5$. One is galvanized and the other larger one is stainless steel that's been painted.

I'm thinking I want to convert one of them for use as a vacuum heat treating furnace/brazing oven so if anyone has any experience with doing something similar let me know as It looks fairly straight forward I think?
