Anyone done a CNC or electronic gearing conversion on an Altlas 618 size lathe? Curious about Z and X motor size and if direct coupled or done with belts.

Yes. I passed that one on before I asked here. Took a while to find where he said he used the same motors as his Sherline. Looks like 300oz-in I think directly coupled.
Recall how we talked about connecting to the lead screw on my South Bend.
Originally I was going to do it this way but buying a surplus hanger and milling away some of it worked just fine.
