I am trying to find a Canadian supplier for these screws.

I used to buy these screws from Richelieu Hardware. They don't stock them anymore. I have tried every Canadian supplier I can find. They are a #8 x 1-1/4" wood screw. We use them for removeable panels on school board millwork. Thanks

I don't suppose Richelieu would tell you who their supplier used to be?

Have you tried Fastenal?

My Canadian search didn't find it either.

I'm pretty sure Home depot has (or had) them. But that volume will die fast if Richelieu has discontinued them.

Richelieu doesn’t have a number or previous suppler…My sales rep is no help
Spannauer doesn’t have them.
Jordan from Knapp Fasteners is on the hunt for me.
Fast Cap has a similar screw, but they are American.

They are called Joint Connector Bolt Wood screws (JCBW).

Perfect, thanks.
So what did you search? I have gone thru dozens of pages at Richelieu… even my sales rep couldn’t find them…

It’s funny how often stuff comes down to knowing what to call the damned part.

It's even funnier that the sales Rep tells you they are discontinued because they are too lazy to look it up or go back in the customers purchase history... I have dealt with them for 38 years.

I often use the McMaster-Carr website to determine the proper name for unknown items. As long as you have a basic idea of what it is and what it is used for you can usually find it on their site. Many other online retailer would greatly benefit from hiring their web designer.

Same. I also use it to put together quotes for side jobs, because they have most everything, I can get both the price and the goods quickly, and I can probably find it cheaper somewhere local.

I am not so lucky. I find the MC website extremely un-intuitive. But I used to think the KBC Tools website was horrible until one of their staff gave me a quick class on how to use. Now I love it. Maybe thats what I need for MC too.
