I'm refitting a newer diesel head with an older style prechamber. The older style prechambers need a small amount shaven off as shown in the picture. I need all 6 prechambers shaved. Not real hurry and I'm not that far from SAIT if it matters.

Hi. By 'shave' are we talking about a diameter reduction (green arrow)? Or something to do with the port area (purple arrow)?.
What kind of material is this, do you know? If its exotic or hardened, it might be a grinder type operation vs. a lathe unless you happen to know people are modding them with typical carbide tooling.

The material to be removed is just below the red text. The one on the left you will see where the material has been removed. These are not hardended steel.
 
I misunderstood. You mean this area? If so, does it have to match fit into something else, or a specific angle or chamfer band width?
I don't live that far from you but have some projects in & out of the lathe right at present. It doesn't look that difficult from what I can see.

I see this as being maybe a 1.5 to 2 hr job half hour or so explaning and showing where to shave 0.5mm 30 to 45 minutes, lathe setup and tooling 30 minutes then turning. Perhaps I'm missing something?
 
Ok who wants to give diesel here a hand? I would but I have a job going right now and then a course starting...
