Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. 4140 round stock for sale on Kijiji

That's a dang good price & useful lengths. Looks like spoils of shot-to-pieces oil industry. I see screw pump rotors in the background.

Oh wow... that 2.250 stuff has "Canon parts" written all over it .

One thing to consider if your going to buy some, 4140 bar is sold both in hardened or annealed form (Chrome-Molly gun barrel blanks) and no mention of which in the add...they are a very different breed of cat to the hobby machinist...Commercial machinist have a better chance of having adequate machining equipment/cutters than we do LOL.

That looks expensive for smaller bars but cheap for the 3" bar. I can sell in Calgary 4140 or 4330 bar if anyone wants for $1 per lbs. That is cheaper then he does for anything under 2.4" in diameter.
