Because its a business its probably surplus from a project so that's why It might be cheap. I think you would be cheaper by the lot overall, maybe someone in Calgary will buy it and will offer a few pieces to others.

I'd buy it all and happily share if I was local.

I think he would get more like 9c a lb, doesn't quite have 350lbs, so from the look of it he might get 30$

Square, round, it's all by the pound 1-1.50$ lb in quantity, square seems more because it weighs more

I offered him stuff to trade which I have hard time selling. See what happens. I have no use for all that steel as well, but probably would keep few pieces.

Yea we will see, he would be crazy not to talk to one of us.

I doubt he has the MTR's for it, Wich basically makes it scrap for any buisness, so his only chances are hobbyist's and the scrap yard, and I'm sure we are both offering more than scrap value

I just learned that a36 can indeed be cold rolled... but it is rare for it to be cold rolled.

I wouldn't say it's rare, but it is less common for sure, round stock can usually be ordered easily as cold rolled and for whattever reason flat bar/plate comes sometimes as cold rolled

It's pretty much safe to assume unless you are buying scrap from a machine shop it's just garden variety a36/44w
