    Laser for gaskets?

    I have some intricate gaskets to make. Old eyes and an XActo knife aren't doing the job any more. So I was wondering if an el-cheapo laser engraver could do the job? Rubberized gasket paper probably stinks horribly when it's being cut, so that might be a consideration for household peace...
