    One thing I believe is that every Canadian should do the road trip across Canada at least once in their lives. I’ve done most of it a few times, and still see new stuff each time. Tentative plans to drive east to Ontario again this summer actually.

    It’s 242 that I’m using, on 10-32 setscrews. They need adjusted sometimes, and the locktite gives enough drag to prevent them working loose. I can see in a real low torque application it may be too much.

    Blue loctite doesn’t need heat to undo, at least the one I use for gib setscrews on our portable equipment. Will check which product code it is tonight.

    Hello from Arthur On.

    There’s stuff out there called CCO, hardface fused to a steel backer so it’s weldable. Used on mining shovel buckets, it lasts quite a while. Just need to find some small pieces and weld them on. To the original poster, from a former Ontarian, welcome aboard!

    I finished it last night, guys on day shift did the teardown. Seems I was about 3-4 tenths undersize. Nothing a swipe with a die grinder and a flap wheel won’t fix. The inner face didn’t need machined for those wondering.
