  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year.     I've had an electric Hyundai Ioniq for 7 years now. Best car I ever owned. Cheap to run, no oil changes, no tune ups. Not saying that an electric car or truck is for everyone, but I have been very happy with mine.

    If you have a mill and a dovetail cutter, they aren't that hard to make. Kinda fun project, although there is a rinse and repeat aspect to it if you are making a bunch of them.

    I had a South Bend 9 and recently moved to a 13x40 Colchester clone and am very happy with it. For me it is the difference between a smile and a frown when I doing lathe work. Keep in mind the hauling and rigging costs if you go bigger.

    Make sure you can find metal cutting blades for your saw. I had a bit of difficulty as my bandsaw is an older meber/laguna.
