The “free” First LC-1 1/2 VS Mill

I didn’t like it much either but I wasn’t in charge in that situation… same goes for the last picture there. When I later unloaded the machine that became mine at my end we used straps.

The “free” First LC-1 1/2 VS Mill

My First has a stronger quill spring than most mills I’ve used, not quite strong enough to overcome static friction and gravity but will continue to retract once it starts. The spiral flutes of a endmill will put a downwards pull force on it while milling. Even with the quill fully retracted I...

    Anyone fabricate Excello 602 riser?

Here’s the piece that a riser would sit under on my old machine. I don’t have the column anymore (scrapped). 14.75” OD, 6 holes on a 10.5” PCD and a spigot just inside the bolt circle at 9.5”. Going off memory, I think there’s two half rings that the bolts thread into that clamp it down.

Excello Milling Machine CA$1,200 Ottawa, ON

I still have the casting for the ram attachment (not sure why I kept it really, it’s just rusting away in my backyard). I can measure it but I’m fairly confidant that it’s not the same as a Bridgeport. The excello is really its own design in pretty much every way.

Clarkson T&C grinder, lathe toolpost, tapping head and threaded backplate.

Located in Hamilton, ON and open to offers on any items. Lathe toolpost, unknown make off of a TOS 20” lathe. I’d estimate it would work on most lathes in the 16-20” range. 8 holders, 5 regular, one parting blade and 2 MT3 holders. Rough but functional MT4 live centre included as well. $200...
