Precision Mathews 5" Vise - $200 in Mississauga

@Tom Kitta - is it a decent vise? Maybe I can fix my BB 5" but it currently pushes parts up when clamping; I'd be open to taking a shorter route and getting something else that would work. $200 in the 'Sauga would be the same as $150 in Calgary for myself because of my location, etc.

Yeah... Red/Cam Man. would be in the same complex so that would have made things easier (I don't leave my place often), but it's so close that I can integrate a visit w/ my next set of errands @TorontoBuilder.

    Grind lathe bed in ontario

So I was pleasantly surprised to see a small sign hanging on a fence indicating that Preston Rebuilt Machinery was located in unit 6D and stopped in to their shop. Linda was there but Roy was on a service call (seems like a one man gig) and gave me a quick tour and a business card. She...

Set-up and tried the english wheel in the late afternoon (small Craftex one) and found it pretty interesting. The setup I have may be good enough for fenders that I've been...

Welding Carry over from the Classifieds where I was contemplating selling my Precision TIG 225 (Lincoln Electric, almost everything in my shop related to welding is LE due to a past relationship w/ the company)...

Lincoln Electric 225 Precision TIG Welding Machine

So the welder that would have replaced the 225 in my upgrade doesn't have an option on it that I desperately need and therefore I am best to keep the 225 until I'm ready to upgrade it to an Aspect - with how little I've used the 225 it may be several years or even a decade before I make the...

We tried turning one into a time machine once - we haven't seen the guy since.

Yeah, I have E3 tungsten electrodes which are 2% lanthanated - I haven't used them in a long time - I have so many 2% thoriated that I use them for steel. Lots of things I've had to (been forced to) work with in the past are pretty hazardous (military's "health and safety" policies and...
