  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Part 176 moves axially (left and right). I presume it means that shaft 166 is moving the same amount.

    I'll have to take it apart to see. After watching more videos it doesn't look so bad. The auto-feed mechanism had me worried. Now I believe the circlip has come off the shaft allowing it to migrate to the right. Either the pinion gear pushing the quill up and down is coming off the rack...

    There appears to be a circlip on the other side that should secure shaft #166 above. (Thanks to H&W Machine Repair and Rebuilding for the images!) The shaft won't pull out but it does feel like it's not located properly.

    I had considered that. 16DP 14.5PA gears aren't easy to come by or won't be cheap. I'm leaning towards making my own to save a few hundred dollars.

    I placed an order for a set of steal mini lathe gears. The set of 27 gears includes all the change gears I need except the 127T. Since they are all Module 1 20PA it will be easy to get different ones in the future too. That leaves the 48T and 68T 16DP 14.5PA gears to find since they need to...
