    Physical activities…..

In an almost parallel vein I had a chronic shoulder problem that began with an injury in my youth. It came back to haunt me on numerous occasions. A few years ago it started getting really serious. Went to physiotherapy which helped only a little. Then I discovered on my own that the problem...

I always used to be able to control my weight when I was younger. But after my cancer surgery things really went bad. I just simply don't need so many calories any more. By cutting out my lunches and not over eating at dinners I have now lost 35 pounds since last New Years. It isn't easy but I...

    Physical activities…..

I've always walked a lot. Even after my cancer treatments knocked the sh*t out of me and I could barely stay on my feet I still did my best to keep up my daily half hour walk. Recently I read a book about longevity - "Outlive by Dr. Peter Attia". Awesome book by an expert on the subject...

My steel tools actually rust far less in my humid basement than in my garage where humidity is usually...

I have a very old house. The outer basement walls have relatively new waterproofing but the floor remains damp. The concrete in the floor is so old it seems to have become porous and I think the water table is close to the basement floor. The house is so old it doesn't really warrant expensive...

In my case I think my basement is a little damp and it doesn't matter how hard I crank the dehumidifier the humidity barely drops. If it drops its only because it makes the temperature go up a little. All I really accomplish by running a dehumidifier is getting myself a big electricity bill. I...

I would bet there are lots of hobby shop situations where maintaining proper temperatures and/or humidity will be prohibitive. Thats the case in my shops so one of the projects I have lined up for this summer is to nickel electroplate a number of my machine parts. I'll see how that goes.
