    Rpm Sensor (missing)

Oh I have a Chinesium tach on my bench ... its going on my lathe. The Red Lion tach I have with the mill is very precise, US made, I would like to get it working. Oh and I like to talk , you should hear me at the shop lol. Cheers

    Rpm Sensor (missing)

Good news, I had a electrician tech pass by the garage to fix his truck, I asked him about the electronics and in particular the rpm sensor in my mill. Seems like the rpm sensor was an add on either before or after the VFD. He did tell me that the rpm was a "Redlion" which is a quality company...

True ! As a hobbiest, I am going to tred slowly. I have a LOT of tools just not for milling lol

Nothing really, the big heavy z axis motor Al-510 has a stripped plastic gear, and probably needs an overhaul - it was removed and tossed in a box. The x axis motor is poorly mounted. I have a feeling these were removed to try to fit them to the new mill ... I found an adjustment nut inside the...

I just checked my Hitachi SJ-200 manual, and it does have the sensorless vector mode, so that is a great option. I thought the RPM sensor was just for the display but yes it makes perfect sense the VFD can adjust for load. My control panel does have a separate potentiometer that does control...

    Rpm Sensor (missing)

I get what you are saying. I guess the acronym I are looking for is VFD. When I purchased this mill there was no sensor just a harness that appeared to be torn - hence why I think there was a collision. I have searched "hall effect sensor" and found only the type where you install a magnet...

    Rpm Sensor (missing)

That's very nice of you but I am looking for a 12 volt sensor as it is wired through my VFS.

    Rpm Sensor (missing)

There is no manual for the 45m, I did contact them and they said he 9xxx is almost the same.

    Rpm Sensor (missing)

Yes, but in all honesty I hate asking a supplier something like that ... because most likely I will find it elsewhere les expensive. I don't want to fish for info (unless I am stuck) just to buy it somewhere else. I am also not for sure if this rpm was an add on or bought from PM.

    Rpm Sensor (missing)

Thought of that, but this RPM sensor is wired through the VSF so I don't know if it is specific to the number of teeth on the reluctor.
