    WTB Felt

I need to make two way wipers for the Meuser and will need two 1 1/2" squares of 3/16" felt. Does anyone have some spare or know of a source other than McC ?

    Calling all Sparky's

The new Meuser is ready for powering up (almost). It is wired 220v 3 phase and has been that way since day one. The power switch seems odd to me. There seems to be an Off, Star and Delta position. I plan on hooking the power up as per what it has now from the University (red to red etc.). The...

    Auction advice.

As I mentioned elsewhere I am watching the Meuser lathe that is up for auction at UVic. I registered so that I can bid and found a cheap item to test the process on. The site said bid $11 or more, I did and I instantly get a message that I had been out bid. Bid 12 and same thing. The instant...

    A maybe future project, maybe.

This is the heavy steel bench I built a few years back. The top is approximately 3x3 and 1 3/8" thick. The legs are 7x7 tubing and are welded to the bottom. The underside of the top has a large dome with several large 1 1/2" ribs. Needless to say it is a very stiff top. It was made about 115...

    Really ?

So one of the things that drives me nuts is simple stupidity. Things that can be simple that are instead made stupid. I have several posts in mind that fit into this category and I invite you all to post up your own. This is the kettle I have in my workshop, it was our household one for years...

    Electrical help.

A while back there was a thread where someone was helping troubleshoot an electrical fault. The helper did an amazing job, clear, concise and easily understood. I have an issue with my TIG, and sure would appreciate some help if that helper recognizes himself. Cheers.

    Long Shot

I'm putting a new windshield in my lovelies pickup truck. I got the glass and the clips for the trim. Of course Ford uses a different clip for the bottom trim piece whereas the tops and sides are universal and used by all big 3. The clips are made by/for Precision and their part number is 1205...

    WTB

So whilst waiting for "stuff" to arrive I decided to fix a pet peeve of mine with my SB 9. For the one person not familiar with the tailstock, it is secured by a nut and bolt down the center. On mine at least it takes more throw to lock and release than is available and in a tight set up it can...

    Collet Identification

Curious if anyone can identify the brand of collet in the top of the picture with "etm" in a diamond at the 3:30 position. The one on the bottom is a Techniks.
