    Greenlee 1399 bandsaw

Finally found a reason to upgrade my 4x6 bandsaw. This popped up on Kijiji and I luckily responded within 2 minutes. Met a real cool metal worker & had a good chat, he was nice enough to show me around his shop & car collection. Loaded me up with this beauty, and I was on my way. The price was...

    Any bearing experts aboard?

Any transmission/bearing supply stores in your area? We used TSL in calgary at my last job, and I was amazed at their supply/knowledge of bearings/seals etc. Seemed like they could get just about anything. Walk in with a totally random bearing/seal off a piece of equipment and they had several...

They are very finicky for tubing prep & how much stickout you leave but once you figure it out they get pretty repeatable. I think too much stickout(even by a small amount) or not keeping the tool square when you're tightening it down makes the biggest difference. Annealing will help, plus of...

    Tool Tubing Bender

I don't unfortunately, here is a link with some good tips though https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/double-flaring-help-needed.14584/ I would just cut the OG tube and steal the fittings. Once you have it rigged in you'll never want to go back. If something fails and you need...

    Tool Tubing Bender

When I made mine(also for an Ingersol 3hp compressor) I just used a regular brake flaring tool. I also found with those cheap tools it helps to 1) anneal the copper prior to flaring. 2) after clamping the tool on the tube making sure the height is perfect & square, also clamp the tool in a vise...
