  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     I may have missed it on the list but, a boring head and some bars to go with it. I didn't think i would use mine much but it is invaluable for some jobs. The bars come in useful on the lathe as well.

    Tips/Techniques Measuring tapes

    I use the cheapest ones i can find, i have a few PA giveaway ones scattered around the shop, and a few i bought at Peavy from the $1 bargain bin. I have take the tape from broken ones and mounted them on the front edge of the shop benches though, handy at times.

    God damn i hate those crappy plastic handles. When some cow critter has really pissed you off while feeding the ungrateful pile of walking hamburger, you try to respond in kind, swinging a bucket at the offending said walking hamburger causes the plastic handle to snap. The colder the weather...
