what's the best short used car from circa 2012-14

I was always quite happy with Smarts, especially the second generation. I had a Car2Go membership when that was still a thing, and I lived closer to downtown Toronto. They made excellent runabouts, especially for city driving. An ex’s parents had one (only thing that would fit down their...

    Die grinder cap

Found a piece of 1 1/4” aluminum (6061 T6), chucked it in the lathe. 3/4” through hole, bored ID to minor diameter of the thread. Giant metal boulder sculpture (art casting with sand molds)

That's a great project. We did some intentionally textured aluminum castings at work a while back, using 3D printed patterns. Ended up using an old file as a chasing tool to texture the joints, just overheated it for a bit to intentionally grow the grain, broke it off, then hardened and tempered...

    Now I have seen Everything!

I mean, my Super 7 was living in my kitchen for a month or so, until CWret was kind enough to take it off my hands... It helped add some chips to my chips, and a little machine oil to my olive oil. Never did get around to making that salad spinner attachment, but now that I've got a 16" swing...

    Shop Compressor Air water separator.

VP Systems sounds like one of those shops worth their weight in gold. The benefit to all the other shops they interact with (hobby and professional) would be hard to overestimate. For reference, something I just bumped into (I'm on vacation this week, and what do I do (other than a canoe...

REIDEN-T200 renovation continues - stern top trailing post

Just a guess! Haven’t tried this, and I’m sure there’s give to UHMW (and everything else, for that matter), it would depend on the force applied, and how repeatable you wanted it.
