  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Ball Bearing Collet Nuts

Sorry guys, I am not explaining the issue very well. The collet rotation occurs at the beginning when I am inserting the endmill in the ER collet holder and then I align the endmill cutting edges parallel to grinding table before tightening the collet nut. Then I tighten the collet nut, which...

    Ball Bearing Collet Nuts

Yes my holder has flat. Its the collet itself rotating in the holder which also rotated the endmill I am trying to sharpen, Not by much but enough to shift the cutting edge that I am trying to sharpen with the grinder. If the ER collet was keyed it would not rotate in the holder. Hopefully the...

    Ball Bearing Collet Nuts

At one point I will purchase a ball bearing nut for my er32 Ali Express collet set. I use this collet set on the mill and my endmill grinding set-up. That's were I run into a problem. When I try to accurately set the endmill cutting edge in my collet holder and I go to tighten the collet nut...

    What's Paul up to?

CNC everything is so much more capable compared to manual machining, it opens up so many possibilities without the need of all the special tooling. Rotary table, angle plates, indexing , counterbores etc........... All these 3D printing, laser cutting , water jet CNC write-ups are so...

    Fixerup patch up

I like these Busy bee MT2 1" arbors. They can be machined into many tool holding type. After 4yrs, I finally made the smaller slitting saw arbor for my set. The missing 1/2" slitting saw arbor. I bought 4 extra MT2 1" arbors. I am thinking of making a shrink fit holder for some 1/4"...

    Fixerup patch up

Modified my tang MT2 arbors,so that I can also use a drawbar or the tang. When I used the MT2 arbors in the lathe tail stock the tang is useful when taking real heavy cut. But on the milling machine spindle without a drawbar, the MT2 arbors sometimes drop under intermittent cuts and bind...

parts for Black & Decker Router model 7610

    1. I would hard silver solder it or braze. Then form a HSS lathe cutter to the rack profile. Mount the lathe cutter onto a flycutter arbor and cut the rack on the milling machine. or 2. For a quick patch up. Because there is two identical rack ,JB weld glue might work. Before gluing...
