    before the chips fly

"level your lathe", they said. "How hard could it be?", I thought. Well, "it's never easy"... After borrowing the tunnel boring machine from Vancouver's Sky Train extension project, I was able to make a hole to the rear of the garage just large enough to navigate the engine hoist through...

    ABS Pipe Annular Cutter

If the ABS pipe is not cut square, or the exterior is not deburred, or the pipes are not fully inserted/twisted into the couplings then there are increased chances for excess amounts of ABS cement (more is not always better) to puddle inside the fittings and weaken them where marked. What’s your favourite saying- and what does it mean?

"as straight as a dog's hind leg" - most frequently used by my dad to describe a line of fence posts I just finished driving in by hand and one from your homeland, "mutton dressed as lamb" - used by a colleague at work to describe a particularly nasty client "it's never easy" - a commiseration...

Life is good on the Island today

Absolutely Dan. This "quick" day trip to pick up the lathe cost 10 hours door-to-door, $166.30 ferry and about $65 in fuel. On the other hand, I've saved quite a bit of time and $ over the last 4 years, sitting on the fence until other lathe purchase opportunities sell to someone else.
