Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Yup, preferences options... I would generally only use SHCS, hex bolts or flathead for the most part. I don't know what all the standards mean, just basic imperial or metric.. not ansi.. etc.- Matt-Aburg

I would have it no other way. I have unboxed a new printer, gone into the auto-calibration mode. loaded filament and was printing in less than 45 minutes. After that, they print for months to years, unless you get a jam. No assembly, no WIFI BS, no connection, and monitor it by one of your...- Matt-Aburg

You could consider a printer that does not require a connection. I will NOT buy into any cloud BS. I do confidential work and so will not store or let any manufacturer have control of my printer. PLA is a plastic made out of plants. I kind of smells sweet when printing. If you buy one, you could have it in the house unless you want to print exotics like ABS. Leveling is within the machine. There is a pulldown menu to select units. This will narrow the choices... I at first was overwhelmed by ISO standards as a description.... It would also help if the menu did not collapse after you choose the wrong one...- Matt-Aburg
