  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

    imo the only thing not to like is the price. Their great advantage is the indexing. (some others like Drehblitz do that as well). Their great disadvantage is it's about impossible to knock out a proper stock of 30-40 holders. I had one but let it go with a lathe as it only had 4 or 5...

    The DP is a time saver; I'd go nuts without one. There a so many times where the fastest approach is manually locating holes (layout, spot or transfer punches) in which case the fastest path to a hole is the DP. Even if using the mill to locate, I'll very often switch to the DP for finishing...

    Also American, not a fan. As seller I think its a mess. When you renew an ad an it creates a new version and leaves the old one there (not visible on the list, but in your list of ads). If you've got a bunch to sell, it short order it becomes a confusing mess. Kijiji is also I think...
