Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Let's undertake yet another project - Jackson No. 2 Vertical Milling Machine

So I saw this ad for a Jackson No2 milling machine asking $1500 for one in terrible shape IMO. I inquired about tooling and condition in preparation of running up to have a look. Today it was listed as sold... call me skeptical but I just dont know who would have bought this for that price...

So I just created assemblies from all my components and all the misalignments were resolved. It also allowed me to see the one component that was not referenced to the proper point. My lesson is, to start with a base component, and create joints for assemblies as I create new components as a...

Fusion 360 complex models, assemblies and component misalignment

Oh make no mistake, I have watched many tutorials from great teachers.. and I follow the top down approach and plan drawings in advance as arbutus says. But my issue is how I reference relative parts to organize an assembled project instead of assembling my components, unless I have a specific...
