  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     This is an old school electric motor powered sharpening machine with water drip cooling and a water bath catch basin. Very rigid and weighs about 70 pounds. The wheel is about 12 inches in diameter and 2 inches wide. $75

    Want to borrow T-nuts that would fit a Bridgeport Table

    I have used carriage bolts with flats ground on each side of the cap head so it will fit the slot and also keep the bolt from turning when tightening. When you make your own t nuts, make a couple with the threaded hole offset. they will come in handy for tight setups.

    I used to stick weld 300 to 500 pounds of 308L Stainless rod a year. I learned very quickly to have fans placed so the smoke went out the overhead door otherwise I paid the price.
