  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

    We've done a fair bit of investigation on this issue with pretty much zero success. I have experienced issue in the past but have not recently. I had no issues with viewing the image in that post PeterT.

    I have and ESAB Savage A40 helmet and really like it. Autodark and the clarity and colour rendition is excellent. I had the previous version which was not even close on clarity or colour. I also stuck a LED headlamp on the chin of the helmet which helps tremendously because it lights the area...

    I have used Rust Stop from Ace (Home Hardware?) Medium Grey. Quite like it, goes on well even without primer, can be sprayed with the right gear but brushes on well too.

    I have HVLP, LVLP guns and two airless sprayers; a Graco Truecoat 360 two speed and a Titan 410. In order of most to least overspray: Graco Truecoat - works well but the small paint reservoir is a PITA Titan 410 - works incredible but I only use it for big jobs like a whole room or more...
